Economists expect India's current account deficit to be 1-1.5% of the GDP in 2024-25 (Apr-Mar), compared to it being pegged below 1% for 2023-24. Most economists said the ongoing geopolitical volatility and the movement in crude oil prices could lead to a higher current account deficit in the current financial year.
