The promoter family of the Godrej group of companies has announced what it calls a "respectful and mindful" split in the control of varied businesses within the group. Under the broad terms of the agreement, announced late on Tuesday, brothers Adi and Nadir Godrej and their immediate families will have control of all the listed companies in the group. Their cousins Jamshyd Godrej and Smita Crishna-Godrej and their immediate families will control Godrej & Boyce, as well as the group's substantial land parcel in Vikhroli, Mumbai.
