SEBI eases norms for invest by NRI, certain others in IFSC-based FPIs

The board of the Securities and Exchange Board of India today approved up to 100% contribution by non-resident Indians, overseas citizens of India, and resident Indian individuals in foreign portfolio investors based out of the International Financial Services Centres in India. The IFSCs must be under the regulatory jurisdiction of International Financial Services Centres Authority. The flexibility, however, will be subject to certain conditions, SEBI said.
