MUMBAI – Prices of MAIZE rose marginally in Purnea, a key market in Bihar, today due to improvement in demand from bulk buyers after prices of the commodity fell in the past few days, a local trader said.
* However, major upside was caped due to pressure of arrivals amid the peak harvest season. Today, maize arrivals in Purnea were pegged at 150,000 bags (1 bag = 65 kg).
* Prices of WHEAT in Kota and Indore, and maize in Nizamabad were unavailable today as spot markets were shut due to COVID-19 lockdowns, traders said.
* Prices of BASMATI 1121 PADDY and BAJRA were flat across markets, traders said.
