MUMBAI – The Reserve Bank of India has elevated Jose J. Kattoor as an executive director with effect from today, an industry source told Informist.

The departments that will report to Kattoor are likely to be notified later in the evening.

Kattoor's appointment was cleared in a process that was completed in December, and the elevation has come after some recent changes in Reserve Bank of India top management following retirements and promotions. On Monday, T. Rabi Shankar took charge as the fourth deputy governor of the RBI.

Prior to this elevation, Kattoor was the regional director based out of Bengaluru. He has previously been involved with the departments in charge of micro, small and medium enterprises, financial inclusion and also for some time headed their communications department.  End
