NEW DELHI – The Reserve Bank of India Tuesday rolled out a revised Citizen's Charter for regulated entities and citizens after a review. The charter now offers 204 services, including some of which were earlier offered under its 'Timelines for Regulatory Approvals'.
"A comprehensive review of the various services offered by RBI has been undertaken and the timelines have been rationalised leading to reduction of time in 11 services," the release said. "All services to the regulated entities and to the citizens have been subsumed under the Citizen's Charter."
Of the total, 180 services will be offered under the RBI's Platform for Regulatory Application, Validation and Authorisation portal. Users will need offline or over the counter forms for 14 services, and the remaining 10 will be offered on other online platforms such as the Auditor Allocation System and the core banking solution or e-Kuber portal.
"(The new charter) reaffirms Reserve Bank's commitment to improving accessibility, responsiveness, and transparency in its service delivery. Reserve Bank endeavours to enhance the user experience by digitising the internal workflows and external interface mechanisms on an ongoing basis," the release said. End
