MUMBAI – Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. Monday said its consolidated and standalone revenues for the September quarter are likely to grow in the high-teens on year, along with high-single-digit volume growth despite demand being impacted by uneven monsoon rains and inflationary pressures across several commodity-linked input items.
"While certain commodities had shown signs of moderation towards the end of Q1 FY27, Q2 witnessed renewed inflation across several key raw-material baskets, including crude-linked derivatives, palm oils, and other commodity inputs," the company said in an exchange filing. It is tackling the issue through calibrated pricing actions, cost-saving initiatives, and other similar measures. For Godrej Consumer, volume-led growth and protection of the long-term health of its brands remains a priority. The company expects its consolidated earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation to improve by double-digits, but did not provide a more specific range for the same.
Performance of its standalone business for the September quarter was supported by healthy growth in personal care and home care portfolios, the company said. It will also book an impact of around 100-150 basis points from trade inventory correction, it said.
Godrej Consumer expects its business in Indonesia to report revenue growth in the high-teens, backed up by high-single-digit volume growth. "This performance is being driven by improved execution, sustained market share momentum, and healthy category trends," the company said. Its businesses in Africa, the US, and West Asia are likely to report double-digit revenue and volume growth for the September quarter. "We remain firmly on track to deliver our guidance for the full year (across businesses) with the confidence to exceed the same in select areas through a broad-based performance across businesses," Godrej Consumer said.
For the June quarter, the company had reported consolidated net profit of INR 5.05 billion on revenues of INR 42.25 billion. Monday, its shares ended at INR 837 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.4% from Thursday. End
