State Bank of India's net profit for the quarter ended December shot up over 84% to INR 168.91 billion from INR 91.64 billion a year ago. The net profit surpassed analysts' expectations of INR 164.19 billion. Total income for the quarter was INR 1.285 trillion, compared with INR 1.182 trillion in the year-ago quarter.
