MUMBAI – ICICI Prudential Asset Management Co. Ltd.'s net profit rose as the revenue from operations increased on an annual basis. The year-on-year increase in total revenue was supported by healthy growth in other income.

The asset management company's revenue rose nearly 18% on year to INR 15.64 billion, also higher than analysts' consensus view of INR 15.11 billion. The asset management company's other income rose over 23% on year to INR 1.81 billion.

Analysts expected the company's net profit to grow owing to strong investment income and increase in assets under management. The company's quarterly average assets under management were at INR 11.17 trillion as of Jun. 30, up over 18% on year, the company said in its investor presentation for the June quarter.

The asset management company's total expenses grew nearly 12% on year to INR 4.64 billion.
