AMFI reappoints Nippon Life's Sikka as chair, Bandhan AMC's Kapoor as deputy

NEW DELHI – The Association of Mutual Funds in India has voted unanimously to reappoint Sundeep Sikka, managing director and chief executive officer at Nippon Life Asset Management Ltd., as chairman. The industry body also re-elected Bandhan Asset Management Co. Ltd.'s chief executive officer Vishal Kapoor as vice-chairman.
Sikka, who has over three decades in the financial services industry, has been with Nippon Life since 2003. Kapoor, with similarly extensive work experience, has been chief executive officer at Bandhan Asset and its previous avatar since September 2016.
"Both executives will continue to guide the strategic growth of India's mutual fund sector, strengthening market trust and furthering nationwide financial inclusion," AMFI said in a statement Friday. End
